Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and mop provide the convenience of removing dry debris (dust dirt, grit) and wet mess (spills or staining) in one go without the need to change devices. They can also save space when compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will provide excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that have docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, refill their water tanks and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's among the easiest robots to install that we've tested. Unpacking is simple, and the quick-start guide gets you up and running in no time. It comes with a full dust bag, water tank and hard floor solution.

The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that is able to clean up a storm and vacuums well too. The mops spin at high speed and use 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to quickly get rid of pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner has four power settings, a range of attachments and brushes and an intuitive app that lets you select the type of cleaning you want for each room.
You could, for instance request the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly, but leave the bedroom to itself. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and smart navigation tech are also excellent, with the robot being capable of detecting small obstacles that other models struggle with. The only drawback is that it tends to hit objects and walls at full speed. However, a quick look at the history of cleaning on the app will reveal exactly what the robot has completed, where it's going, and which obstacles it has encountered or avoided.
The docking station features an LCD display that displays when maintenance is needed for cleaning up debris and rinsing the water tank that is dirty. It also mixes detergent into the water tank automatically by using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop have plenty of run-time and the mop is able to operate for an 184-minute runtime in Quiet mode, and the vacuum able to do 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing to recharge or return to the base to refill. You can also view the full cleaning details in the app, which is clearly laid out and easy to understand however we would like to be able to distinguish between a vacuum only or mop and vacuum clean when looking at a clean area in the cleaning history.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's flagship robot vacuum and mop. It's not like the model from last year this one has a double agitator in its mopping pad, which greatly improves carpet cleaning capabilities. remote hoover has improved suction power, allowing it to pick up small hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners could overlook.
The Roborock model, just like the other two I tested is equipped with infrared and 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it overcome obstacles like walls, furniture and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating a dual-camera that can identify objects, determining whether they're walls or other surfaces. It can then automatically change its direction and clean them without missing a beat.
It's the most expensive model I've tried and it comes with the most features. Its sleek and angular design is striking, and it only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which also resumes the cleaning mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles as a child lock and a home-button that can send the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid, you will find a 350ml dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin fills up automatically.
The only issue I have discovered with this model was that its VibraRise mop pad mount is not removable. It is possible to replace the mopping cloth when required, but it's not easy to take the mount off for washing manually. I've observed that any carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mount, which can cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app allows you to manage and configure these features. It also has maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to plan cleanings and monitor the battery's lifespan. You'll have to go through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. This is a shame considering the performance otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is an industry leader with cutting-edge features, high suction power and advanced mowing capabilities. Its intelligent design allows for customized and efficient cleaning while saving you time.
The X40 is the first robotic vacuum cleaner to deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which makes it one of the most effective options available. This powerful vacuum can clean up pet hair dust, crumbs and any other dry debris. It comes with a mop of excellent quality that can clean hard floors without the need for a pad. The X40 is also very quiet in operation with only occasional bursts during modes changes or self-maintenance.
Another notable feature is the X40's expandable and liftable side brush, which allows it to get into difficult-to-access corners as well as clean furniture, such as tables and chair legs. It also allows the robot to get under furniture that is low-profile which makes it a great option for smaller apartments and condos with tight spaces. The side brush automatically tilts down when it detects wet spots. This is a nice feature that allows the X40 to avoid damaging floors by repeated back-and-forth movements.
In contrast to other robots that are restricted to a single task, the X40 can mop and vacuum at the same time. It can also be programmed to eliminate areas that have carpet and only mop hard floors or vice versa. It can be controlled through the Dreame app or by using Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for smooth voice-controlled operation.
The app is simple to use and intuitive, and the X40 is equipped with many clever features that are simple to configure. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times. It can also be adjusted to adjust suction power, change modes, look at floor plans and maps, and control mopping settings. The X40 will also track its progress and notify you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy to keep clean and has many convenient features which make it a good choice for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the dustbin into a large 3.2 L bin, washes the mop pads, and refills them with fresh water and cleaning solution. It can also tell when the mop pad is filled and alert you before it overflows, reducing the requirement for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's among the most expensive on the market, but it packs in numerous extra features that distinguish it from. Smart DuoScrub, a new feature on its mops, uses two mop heads with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, dirt particles and remove spills and dirt-stained spots.
The mop is also dried and cleaned inside the base station after every use. This is a fantastic feature because it prevents the build-up of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and it also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature that we haven't seen in other robot mop or vacuum models. It could be a great method to keep your home clean longer.
There's a wealth of settings on offer which include the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and adjust a number of different preferences. They can be set through the app or buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and provides a number of options for customizing your cleaning routine. It also has many functions that are not available on other robots, like the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction whenever it detects dust particles.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a white-and-metallic finish that looks elegant and sophisticated. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots on this listing, but it's still not too heavy. It feels solid and well-built. The mopping system is also well designed, and the double rotating mop is a great choice for hard floors or in corners. They can even reach down to 2mm of baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature which is a nice feature.
